Amazon KDP royalty calculator
On Amazon.com a black-ink paperback earns 60% of the list price minus the printing cost, which is $1.00 plus $0.012 per page (the fixed cost only up to 110 pages). A 300-page book at $9.99 earns $1.39 a copy. Enter your price and pages below.
How it works
Paperback royalty = 60% × list price − printing cost. Printing cost for black ink on Amazon.com is $1.00 fixed plus $0.012 per page; books of 24 to 110 pages pay only the fixed cost. The lowest list price KDP accepts is the printing cost divided by 0.6.
eBooks earn 70% for list prices from $2.99 to $9.99 and 35% otherwise, before delivery costs. Colour interiors, hardcovers, other marketplaces and expanded distribution use different figures: use KDP's own calculator for those.
If you publish through Harmony Publishing you keep 100% of the royalties that Amazon KDP and IngramSpark pay; Harmony does not take a share of your sales.
