Harmony Publishing is a self-publishing company that produces books for authors — editing, cover design, interior layout, ISBN, printing and global distribution — for authors who want their book made properly and their rights kept intact.
You keep 100% of your rights and 100% of your royalties. We are paid once for the production work and take nothing from your sales. We are not a traditional publisher, not a hybrid publisher, and we do not take a share of your royalties. If you already have a finished, edited, formatted manuscript, you do not need us — Amazon KDP plus IngramSpark will publish it for almost nothing, and we will tell you so.
What Harmony Publishing does
Editing
Copyediting and proofreading on every package, with line editing and developmental editing on the higher tiers. The outcome is a manuscript that reads cleanly and holds together structurally, not a report telling you what is wrong with it.
Cover design
Cover concepts, revisions and a print-ready wrap that includes the spine width calculated from your final page count, the barcode block positioned correctly, and CMYK artwork that will not shift at the press. The outcome is a cover that matches the book it wraps and survives print.
Interior layout and typesetting
Your manuscript set as real pages at your chosen trim size — running heads, chapter openings, front matter and pagination — exported as a print-ready PDF. The outcome is a file a printer can run without a conversation.
ISBN and barcode
ISBN registration in your name where the channel allows, plus the barcode block placed on the back cover at the correct size and position. The outcome is a book that bookshops, libraries and distributors can identify and order.
Printing
Paperback, hardcover and single-copy printing at standard trade trims, in black and white or colour. Printed copies are included in our packages rather than sold back to you — from 25 to 500 copies depending on the tier.
eBook conversion and distribution
EPUB and Kindle conversion, listing setup and distribution through Amazon KDP, IngramSpark and eBook aggregators. The outcome is your book available in print and digital channels, with royalties paid to your own accounts.
What makes Harmony Publishing different
Printed copies are included, not sold back to you
Most full-service providers — BookBaby and Palmetto among them — charge you to produce the book and then sell your own author copies back at a markup. Our packages include printed copies, from 25 to 500. That difference is often worth several hundred dollars on a single title.
One published, all-in price instead of a la carte
BookBaby starts at $399 for a cover and a typical build lands between $1,500 and $5,000 in separate line items, with content-change fees of $50–$150 after you have paid. We publish one price per package. There are no change fees and no hidden lines added later.
You keep 100% of royalties — no revenue share
MindStir Media pays 50% royalties on its entry tier; aggregators such as Draft2Digital take around 10% of each sale. We take no share of your sales at any tier. You are paid once for production and never again.
Non-exclusive, and you get your files
Some providers lock your ISBN, your files or your distribution to them, which makes leaving costly. Our agreement is non-exclusive — you can publish elsewhere, and we hand over the source files when the project is complete. You can walk away with your book intact.
A US team, with a Nigerian imprint for local authors
Production runs from our US operation with a US phone line and a published price list. For authors publishing into the Nigerian market we work under our separate local imprint, with naira pricing and local print. Most of our competitors serve one market or the other.

The team behind Harmony Publishing
Chukwuma Okeke — Founder. Chukwuma founded Harmony Publishing in 2016 after seeing authors pay thousands to companies that left them owning neither their rights nor their files. The company was built around one rule: the author keeps everything the author brought.
Production and layout team. Editing, typesetting and cover work are handled in-house by a small production team who work on every title end to end, rather than routing books through a network of freelancers you never speak to.
Author support. Authors work directly with the person producing their book, on WhatsApp, email or the phone, from first contact through to the finished copies.

Do you take a share of my royalties?
No. You keep 100% of your royalties, on every edition, in every channel. We are paid once for the production work; we take nothing from your sales afterwards.
Who owns the copyright to my book?
You do. You retain full copyright and ownership of the manuscript and the finished book. We ask for no transfer or licence of rights beyond what is necessary to produce and distribute the edition you have commissioned.
Is the arrangement exclusive?
No. Our agreement is non-exclusive. You are free to publish, sell and distribute the book elsewhere in any form, and you can leave at any time.
Do I get the source files?
Yes. When the project is complete we hand over the print-ready files and the working source files. Your book does not depend on staying with us.
Where is the ISBN registered?
In your name where the channel allows it. The ISBN identifies your book and belongs to you, not to us — which also means you can take the book to another printer or distributor later.
How much does it cost to self-publish a book?
Packages start at $699 and run to $9,999 depending on how much production work you need. Printing is priced separately, per copy, based on page count, trim size, interior colour and quantity. Our complete price list is published on the site — no sales call required.

How long does the process take?
Most books go from manuscript to published in 6 to 8 weeks, depending on the extent of editing and how quickly proofs are approved. If your manuscript is already edited, designed and formatted, publishing it yourself through Amazon KDP costs almost nothing and we will tell you to do that instead.
What do you not do?
We are not a traditional publisher and we do not broker submissions to traditional publishers. We do not do revenue-share or partnership arrangements — that is not our model. And we do not guarantee sales, bestseller lists, reviews or media coverage; nobody honestly can.
