• Project information — manuscripts, book details, and files you upload for publishing services.
• Payment information — processed securely by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Communications — messages you send us by email, chat, or our AI assistant.

Information collected automatically

• Device and browser type, IP address, and general location (used to show the correct regional pricing and content).
• Pages visited and actions taken on the site, collected through cookies and analytics tools.

How we use your information

• To provide and deliver the publishing services you request.
• To respond to inquiries, quotes, and support requests.
• To process payments and send order and project updates.
• To improve our website, services, and customer experience.
• To send marketing communications where you have opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time).

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

Your manuscript and intellectual property

You retain full ownership of the rights to your manuscript and content. We access your files solely to provide the services you have engaged us for, and we do not claim ownership of your work.

Newsletter

If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address and the page you signed up on. We use it only to send you our newsletter (writing and publishing tips, new guides, printing information and offers). We ask you to confirm your address by clicking a link in an email we send (double opt-in), and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. Your email is processed for us by our email service provider, MailerLite, and is kept until you unsubscribe, after which we keep only what we need to make sure you are not emailed again.

Enquiries made through AI assistants

If you use the Harmony Publishing Assistant inside ChatGPT, Claude or a similar AI assistant and choose to send us an enquiry, we receive the details you provide — your name, email address, country, book title and type, page count, manuscript status, the services you are interested in and any notes — together with the time of the enquiry. We receive this only when you confirm that you consent to be contacted; package information, recommendations and printing estimates are provided without collecting any personal data. Enquiries are stored in our lead system, used only to respond to you about publishing your book, and kept for 24 months unless you ask us to delete them sooner. We do not sell or share them with third parties. To correct or delete an enquiry, email publish@harmonypublishing.net.

Browser extension

If you install our free Book Print Cost Estimator browser extension, it works only on the page you are viewing and only when you open it. It may read the page count shown on that page, and you can type or change it yourself. When you press “Estimate”, it sends the book specification you chose (page count, trim size, paperback or hardcover, black-and-white or colour, and quantity) to our price service at harmonypublishing.net, which returns an estimated printing price. The extension does not ask for your name or email, does not create an account, does not read or store your browsing history, and does not use analytics or advertising cookies. Like any request to our website, the price request appears in our standard server logs. You can remove the extension at any time from your browser’s extensions page.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember your preferences (such as your regional pricing), and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect site functionality.

Data security & retention

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. We keep personal data only as long as needed to provide services and meet legal obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
