Harmony Publishing Author Charter

This page puts in one place what you can rely on when you publish with Harmony Publishing. Nothing here is new: each point comes from our Terms of Service, our Return & refund policy, our packages page or our contact page, and those pages are the ones that bind us.

1. You own your book

You keep 100% of your royalties and all rights to your book. We never take a cut of your sales.
You retain full ownership of your manuscript and the rights to your work (Terms of Service, Intellectual Property).

2. What you pay for

Each package lists what it includes, with its price, on the packages page. Every quote is valid for 7 days, with no hidden fees.
Packages are paid in full before work begins, in US dollars.
Prices are as quoted at the time of purchase.
You approve the cover and interior before anything is printed or published.

3. Timelines

A full package takes 4–6 weeks standard; occasionally up to 8 weeks. Our terms state that estimates are given in good faith and are not guaranteed: they depend on the scope of the project, on how quickly you provide materials and approvals, and on production factors.

4. Refunds

Before any work has started, you may cancel and request a refund. A processing fee may be deducted to cover payment-processing and administrative costs.
Once work has begun, payments are non-refundable, because the work is custom and cannot be resold.
Once a print run has been set up or started it cannot be refunded. If printed copies arrive damaged or defective because of our error, contact us within 7 days of delivery, with photos, and we will reprint or replace the affected copies at no additional cost.

5. Your files

On full payment and completion, you own the final deliverables produced for you (Terms of Service, Intellectual Property). Completed digital files are delivered as finished work. Revisions within the scope of your package are part of the service.

6. What we do not promise

We do not guarantee any particular level of book sales, rankings or commercial success. We sell the deliverables in your package, and the results are yours to build on.
