Book Marketing Services
Plan what your book needsBook marketing is included in Harmony Publishing's packages from Complete at $1,299: Complete ($1,299), Premium ($2,499), Rockstar ($4,999) and Legend ($9,999) each add more, from book promotion up to launch plans and media outreach. Harmony Publishing is a self-publishing company: authors keep 100% of their royalties and all rights.
Our book marketing helps a published book find its readers. It covers book promotion, social media creatives, media and press release placement and, in the top packages, launch support. It is part of our publishing packages, so it comes with the editing, cover, formatting, ISBN and distribution your book needs first, and you can buy individual services on their own in the planner below. We don't promise sales: no one honestly can.

Affordable book marketing services: what to compare
Affordable book marketing services and book promotion companies are easy to find and hard to compare, because each prices a different bundle. Compare the deliverables rather than the headline fee: what is made (graphics, a press release), what is sent and to whom, how long the work runs and what happens to the content afterwards. Marketing that comes inside a publishing package is priced once with the rest of the work, and the planner above prices each separate service up front, so you see the whole cost before you pay. Weigh us against the alternatives on the comparison pages, read the reviews, and see the self-publishing packages.
What a book marketing agency can and cannot do
A marketing service can make a book easier to find and easier to say yes to: a clear description, graphics for social media, a press release sent to the right outlets, a plan for launch week. It cannot make readers buy, and it works best on a book that is already well edited and well designed. That is why our packages include marketing, and why the planner recommends the cover, interior and Amazon page fixes before ads.
For the wider picture, from manuscript to published book, see book publishing and marketing. If you publish on Amazon, see Amazon KDP publishing with Harmony.
How it works
- Tell us about your book and your readers when you ask for a quote.
- We recommend the package that includes the marketing you need.
- We edit, format and design your book, assign the ISBN and barcode, and publish it.
- We carry out the promotion your package includes, and you keep 100% of your royalties and rights.
A full package takes 4–6 weeks standard; occasionally up to 8 weeks.

Book marketing FAQs
What are book marketing services?
Book marketing services help readers find your book after it is published: promotion, social media content, press releases and media outreach. They do not replace a good book. They make sure a finished, well-edited book is not published into silence.
How much do book marketing services cost?
Marketing is included in our publishing packages, and the cheapest package that includes it is Complete at $1,299. Complete ($1,299) includes Book promotion; Premium ($2,499) includes Creatives for Social Media and Media & Press Release Placement and Book Promotion; Rockstar ($4,999) includes Creatives for Social Media and 30-Day Post-Launch Marketing Management Window and Media & Press Release Placement and Book Promotion; Legend ($9,999) includes Book Launching Plans and Media Outreach & Article Pitching (placement subject to editorial approval) and 4 Press Releases with Media Placement and Advanced Social Media Management and Media Training for the Author. You can also buy marketing services separately in the planner on this page: an Amazon book page makeover is $249, a press release written and sent out $349 and 30-day marketing management $899. Ad spend is paid to Amazon or Meta and is not included.
Can I buy book marketing without publishing with you?
Yes. If your book is already published, the planner on this page asks about your book and recommends the services it needs, each with its price: for example the Amazon book page makeover ($249), Amazon A+ Content ($299) and a reader review campaign ($299) for a book that sells a few copies a month. You choose what to keep and pay by card in one checkout. Anything that needs a look at your book first, such as an audiobook, is quoted separately.
Will marketing guarantee sales?
No. No marketing service can promise sales or bestseller status, and we don't. What we do is a defined set of work: promotion, social media creatives, press release placement and, in the higher packages, launch support and media outreach. See what each package includes above.
What does a press release do for a book?
A press release announces your book to journalists and outlets with the facts they need: what the book is, who wrote it and where to get it. It can lead to coverage, but placement is never certain, and in our Legend package placement is subject to editorial approval.
Do I keep my royalties and rights?
Yes. You keep 100% of your royalties and all rights to your book. Marketing doesn't change that.
When should I start marketing my book?
Before it is published. A launch is easier when the cover, description and categories are ready and your first readers know a date. A full publishing package takes 4–6 weeks standard; occasionally up to 8 weeks.
How much does it cost to promote a book?
It depends on what you buy, and outside a publishing package promotion is often priced per campaign, so compare what each one includes. Our separate services start at $149 for bookstore and library distribution, with a book video trailer at $349, Amazon Ads setup with 30 days of management at $499, Facebook and Instagram ads for 30 days at $499 and 30-day marketing management at $899; ad spend is paid to Amazon or Meta.
How much do book marketers charge?
Book marketers price in different ways: a monthly retainer, a fee per campaign, or marketing built into a publishing package. Ask what is included, how many hours or placements, and what is not promised. We price each service as a fixed fee: for example $249 for an Amazon book page makeover, $349 for a press release written and sent out and $899 for 30-day marketing management.
How do I promote my published book?
Start with the things readers see first: a clear book description, the right categories and a strong cover on the retail page. Then give readers a reason to look now: a launch date, a press release to journalists and outlets, social media graphics and a plan for the first weeks. Ask early readers for honest reviews. Our packages include promotion from Complete, social media creatives and press release placement from Premium, and launch plans and media outreach in Legend.
Does Amazon KDP advertise your book?
Not automatically. Publishing on KDP makes your book available to buy, but it does not promote it. Amazon offers paid ads that you set up and fund yourself, and you pay by the click, so the result depends on your book page, price and targeting. The packages on this page list the advertising each tier includes.
What is the difference between book advertising and book promotion?
Advertising is paid placement: you pay for a slot or for clicks and your book is shown to a chosen audience. Promotion is wider and includes unpaid work such as a press release, social media, reader reviews and author events. Most authors need both, and the packages list which of them each tier includes.
What book marketing do indie authors need?
Most indie authors need the same few things: a clear book page with the right categories, a launch plan with a date, a press release to journalists and outlets, social media graphics for the launch and the weeks after, and a way to ask readers for reviews. A marketing service is worth paying for when it takes time-consuming parts of that off your hands and tells you in writing exactly what it will deliver. Our publishing packages include book promotion, social media creatives, press release placement and launch support.
How do I choose a book promotion company?
Ask what the work is, not what the result will be. A reputable company lists its deliverables (for example a press release sent to named outlets, or a set of social media graphics), says what it does not control, and never guarantees sales, reviews or bestseller status. Check who owns your content and what you are paying for after the first month.
