Is DiggyPOD cheaper than Harmony Publishing?
For printing alone, a specialist short-run printer is often cheaper, because it is not bundling any other service. The comparison changes once you add editing, design, layout, ISBN and distribution — those have to be bought somewhere, and a package price includes them.
Do I need print-ready files for DiggyPOD?
Yes. A printer prints what it is given. The interior and cover must be production-ready — correct trim, bleed, embedded fonts, CMYK colour and a barcode block if the book carries an ISBN. Producing those files is the part we do.
Can I use both?
Yes. An ISBN is non-exclusive, so a book produced with us can be printed by a short-run specialist, or produced and printed with us. There is no conflict.
Which is better for a short run?
A specialist printer, if your files are ready and you only need printing. Ours is the better route if the book still needs producing, because the files must exist before any press can run.
