Beyond Human Reasoning

About the book

What do you do when God's plan makes no sense?

You prayed. You trusted. You obeyed — and still, life went in a direction you never expected. You did everything right, yet the outcome felt wrong. You believed God was in control, but circumstances made you wonder if He was paying attention.

If you have ever been there — confused, disappointed, and searching for answers that logic could not provide — Beyond Human Reasoning was written for you.

In this deeply encouraging book, pastor, educator, and community leader Dr. Samuel Gordon guides readers through one of the most profound challenges of the Christian life: learning to trust God when His ways defy our understanding. Drawing on Scripture, personal faith, and years of shepherding people through life's most difficult seasons, Dr. Gordon reveals that our confusion is not a sign of weak faith — it is an invitation to deeper trust.

Through each chapter, you will discover:

Why God's ways will always exceed the reach of human logic — and why that is a reason for hope, not fear How to find your God-given purpose even when your circumstances make no sense How to trust God's timing when delays feel like denials How to live with open hands, surrendered trust, and courageous faith in seasons of uncertainty Why the greatest miracles in your life often begin exactly where human reasoning ends
